By Lisette Rivera

It was our first purchase as a married couple, a beautiful caramel wood entrance table.  We were proud to order it from a local LA vendor, it meant the beginning of our style as a couple.  Ten years later, we decided to move back to Miami to be close to family.  Moving was filled with enough "TO DO" lists that we barely had the chance to feel sad.  Our furniture arrived two weeks after moving to Miami.  Suddenly the table sat at the entrance of my mother's house, foreign to the new environment.  It was a reminder that I was no longer in LA and for the first time I allowed myself to cry and grieve the end of a chapter in my life.
